The Octa movement was introduced to the world in 2001 to mark a new benchmark in watchmaking. Being such an efficient movement, F.P. Journe says the movement has only gone through three evolutions since. With the latest modification (calibre 1300.3) only for the purpose of improving the winding mechanism. François-Paul Journe says "The Octa is an accomplished movement that requires no further modification due to its almost unreal performance”.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this movement, F.P. Journe releases the Automatique limited to only 99 pieces.

This unique timepiece can be acquired through 10 F.P. Journe Boutiques and espaces. F.P. Journe says the Automatique will later join the current collection in 40mm or 42mm case in Platinum, 18K 6N Gold, paired with a dial in gold or guilloché Silver.
