3 Simple Ways You Can Get Inspired Now!

Writer's picture: Sean GohSean Goh

As entrepreneurs, getting inspired is the very first step to creating something out of your own great ideas. However, I myself along with others can find it hard to get inspired simply out of thin air when we need to. Here are 3 simple ways you can get inspired now!

Meditate

The power of meditation is totally coming back into vogue, with many people swearing by its calming effects. Focusing on the here and now can help you get away from the stress that comes with the fear of failure, or other business-related worries. It can also give you a different perspective on things. so that if you feel stuck or unable to get inspired, you can come up with creative solutions. And as a bonus? You'll just feel more relaxed in general!I personally meditate Fitness+ on my Apple Watch which means I can do it anywhere and anytime. It's super helpful and I almost always get inspired immediately!

Find your muse.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret that my mentor taught me while we were chatting over coffee at a cafe: the best ideas come from everywhere. It’s true—when it comes to inspiration, there are no limits.

>* Listen to music or an engaging podcast

>* Read books, magazines, or newspapers

>* Talk to people outside of your circle

>* Visit a museum, gallery, or concert

>* Talk to your coach or mentor

>* Get physical—go for a walk or run; go swimming; go for a bike ride

Sometimes I would even look at what people struggle with and try to come up with a quick and easy solution to make their lives better.

Never give up on your goals and dreams, even if it may seem hard to go on at times.

While it's hard to stay motivated when you're feeling stuck, it's important to find a way to keep going. And if you're in the middle of your journey and you feel like giving up, don't quit. It'll be worth it eventually. Take some time to re-evaluate your goals, possibly modify them and make them more achievable in the short run. Then set some smaller achievements that you can make and try getting back on track as soon as possible.

Also, talk with others who are going through similar experiences as yourself. They may have suggestions on how they've turned their situation around by changing something else in their lives just a little bit at a time until it became better. Another thing that might help is remembering that there's always the light at the end of the tunnel - no matter what happens now, you will get through this!
