The common misconception of people who wear luxury brands are that they are insecure and they need to flash a label in order to place themselves on a higher pedestal. Though this may be true for some, others seek luxury brands for a more important reason; luxury brands offer the best quality, craftsmanship, elegance, and the right fit. Not all luxury products need to be loud either; some choose to go for those needs listed before in an outfit but choose to lay low and comfortable. Here are 3 important luxury brands men need to know for quiet luxury.
1: Brunello Cucinelli.
Brunello Cucinelli is known as the "King of Cashmere" as most of his products involve working with cashmere which keeps them light and comfortable. I personally have a few pieces from Cucinelli and they have never disappoint. For instance, a cardigan may look bulky but thanks to its light weight and heat management characteristics, it's all I really need to keep myself warm and comfortable. You typically won't be able to spot someone wearing a Cucinelli until you are familiar with very intricate details of their designs or you go up to someone and check their coat buttons. A few notable people who have worn them include Jeff Bezos, Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Zuckerberg. Yeap, the plain clothes he wears aren't just any Hanes 3 packs but Brunello Cucinelli.
2. Loro Piana.
Under the wing of LVMH, Loro Piana is famously known for being the foremost cashmere processor and its works including other materials are considered to be the best in the world. According to LVMH, those materials include "unique cashmere from baby goats in northern China and Mongolia, vicuña from the Andes, extra-fine Merino wool from Australia and New Zealand and lotus flower fiber from Myanmar". Like Cucinelli, their line of clothes include coats, jackets, knitwear, pants, and day to day t-shirts and accessories offered to their male clients.
3. Berluti.
Also an LVMH brand, Berluti is known for their leather works and unique finishings on calfskin, kangaroo, and even alligator. A Berluti is very noticeable to the trained eye when they see its unique gloss finishing and natural dark and light color contrasts on their leather goods when one wears them. In fact, Berluti sits high on my shopping list as they are incredibly comfortable and durable as well.
Obviously with so much attention to detail and care being put into making these works of art, it wouldn't come at a price point accessible to everyone. Quiet luxury, or what some may call "old money", deserves its spot on people who truly demand the best of the best. In fact, these brands pride themselves in producing products that can last for generations if they are being taken care of. Hence, these are 3 important luxury brands men need to know for quiet luxury.
